WHY ARE WORKPLACE HEALTH PROGRAM IMPORTANT AND HELPFUL?
Because almost half of the working-age population in industrialized countries have at least one permanent health problem. The most common health problems are fatigue, being overweight, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, stress and anxiety. In the UK, stress and anxiety alone result in more than 13 million work days lost each year.
We all have times when life gets on top of us – sometimes that’s work-related, like deadlines or travel. Sometimes it’s something else – our health, our relationships, or our circumstances. We believe in workplaces where everyone can thrive. We also believe in the role of employers, employees and businesses in creating thriving communities.
